Channelling King George III

Somebody prove to me that the level that Congress has stooped to these last few months hasn’t exceeded the excesses and abuses of Mad King George. I’m not talking about Dubya. I’m talking about George William Frederick of the House of Hanover. The one who irritated the colonies enough for them to wage war for six years just to tell him off.
The Democrats accused Dubya of ‘shredding the Constitution’ because of course, they disagreed with him. The Democrats right now are acting like they don’t even acknowledge that the Constitution exists. They are off the scale of arbitrary AND capricious as defined in the Constitution with their totally insane grab for and abuse of power. This is not going to end well.
Throwing $100s Billions in a bill written in a star chamber passed overnight sight unseen by most of the members just led to more bills written in star chambers and passed..you guessed it, sight unseen…but now for $Trillions. And that has led them to…you guessed it…proposals for still more. Queen Nancy is calling for another ‘stimulus’ for her minions. And this Congress has been in session for 58 days. The House has passed a punitive 90% tax rate to punish people who didn’t do anything wrong. AIG paid the bonuses in accordance with specific language that Congress passed…you guessed it…sight unseen. This just opens the door for more punitive taxation. Do you contribute to Republicans? 90% tax rate. Do you make money in petroleum? 90% tax rate. Of course we already know what the tax rate is for Democrats…0%.
I do not know how much damage the Democrats can do in the next 672 days that it will take to get to the next Congress, but somebody needs to put a leash on these animals.
1) Even if recalls are not binding on federal offices, organizing a non-binding resolution calling for their individual resignation might get the attention of some of the membership. It gives the people something to focus on besides torches and pitchforks.
2) Start the process of a constitutional amendment to limit congressional term limits. Congress does not have to vote on it. A constitutional convention can be called by the states. The writers of the Constitution were really smart. They foresaw the need to bypass the federal government to reign it in.
