The Imperial Presidency of His Majesty Barack I

It just fits so well with the government currently occupying Washington, DC.  The Federal Empire is all about the accumulation of unlimited power and for Barack I, it’s about accumulating unlimited power for him.  When he said “I won.” what he really meant was, “It’s good to be king.”  When he says, “I am the president of the United States.” what he really means is, “Why aren’t you bowing before me?”  Golfing while the World burns?  It’s a kingly prerogative.  Needless to say, this is why he feels no compunction to answer questions from the plebes and responds so testily to any criticism.  How long before the Democrats try to pass a law imposing lèse majesté, making it a crime to ridicule Urkel?

Hah!

Line of the day:

Facts are to liberals what kryptonite is to superman.

Except of course for the fact that they don’t start out as the superpeople they like to delude themselves into thinking they are to begin with.

Supreme Court justice is not an entry level position

In a sane world, the lack of a track record would be a bug, not a feature.  But then let’s look at the current occupant of the White House.

No one in the future will accuse this of being the Age of Reason.
