Surprise!

Spent the weekend in the hospital (b-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-r-i-n-g) and AMC channel was doing a weekend marathon of Shawshank Redemption.  (one of my favorite movies)  Morgan Freeman is spectacular as “Red”, the wise old con who befriends the hero.  I have never seen Freeman do a part in any movie badly.  He played the President of the United States in the movie Hard Impact where the country is faced with the End Of The World As We Know It from an impending comet strike.

I’m firmly convinced that many of the people who voted for Barry Obama thought they were going to get Morgan Freeman president.  Little did they imagine that they were voting for the  Steve Urkel president.  Since 47% of the voters could figure it out, I don’t have much sympathy for the 53% that were blinded by racism.

Yes, Virginia.  Voting for somebody because of the color of their skin is just as racist as voting against someone for the same reason.  So having gotten that affirmative action bug out of their systems, would the 53% try looking for competence and character next time.

Hey geniuses

Not raising the debt limit doesn’t mean the US can’t borrow money.  It just means that the US can’t borrow more.  Rolling over debt is still allowed.

Contacting Senators

Sent Blunt and McCaskill messages (via Senatorial web site) expressing support for not raising the debt limit. ( I don’t waste my [digital] voice on my so-called Representative Clay)  The insane spending has to stop.  Now is as good a time as any.

I grew up in the greatest super power the World has ever seen.  But if the Professional Political Overlord Class has its way, my children will have only a ashes of what once was to inherit.   The only thing politicians crave is power.  They have no interest in any future beyond the next election.

I can well understand why you wouldn’t want to expose yourself to the slings and arrows of the Democratic propagandists of the Leftist press by running for president.

Should, however, you decide to run, I would like to offer you a thought for kicking off your campaign.

Present it as a New Declaration of Independence for the People of the United States from the bloated Federal Empire of King Barry I.

Most people know bits and pieces of the first two paragraphs of the Declaration of Independence.  Timeless words defining the principles of a free people.  But most people don’t know that the bulk of the Declaration was a catalog of grievances against the government of King George III.  A New Declaration of Independence would provide a clear thesis  of grievances which could make a fine basis for a campaign platform.  Being able to list 99 of them has some precedence.  I suspect that with a little research, it could be found that King Barry I and his royal court of tax dodging miscreants has easily committed that many crimes.

And unlike the original Declaration, there is already a Constitution the violation of which serves as the basis of the grievances and reinstatement of which as the basis of government constraint is the raison detre of the campaign.

Question: What is Congress?

Why does Obama ignore Congress?  See title above.  Why is the US military now part of Obama’s Praetorian answerable only to Him?  See title above.  Why is Obama going to ignore the debt ceiling.  See title above.

The Obama administration is indistinguishable from any other crime syndicate.  He should have been impeached when he nationalized Government Motors and Chrysler.  That was illegal.  There was not law that permitted it and it was done in direct violation of existing bankruptcy laws.  But that wouldn’t have served his cronies.

A real legislature living up to their Oath to defend and uphold the Constitution of the United States would know what to do.  But which of those Congresscowards serving today is willing to stand up and impeach The First [half] Black President?

Yeah, thought so.

And remember, I said that he needs to be impeached first time here.
