Democrats in House to bone employers again, complain about why they don’t hire

Posted in the Globe-Democrat today:

The Democratic philosophy is that every dollar you make belongs to the government. What they don’t take is a gift from them. Or as the Beatles sang:

“Let me tell you how it will be
There’s one for you, nineteen for me

Should five per cent appear too small
Be thankful I don’t take it all”

The Treasury Minister in UK recently proposed that every employer should send people’s paychecks to the government and the government would send the employees what the government thought they should get. I can’t imagine every Democratic politician not going (headslap) “Why didn’t I think of that!”

Not raising taxes on the under $200,000/$250,000 will help some. But fewer people will be making anywhere near that because the people who make more than $250,000 are the ones who hire the people who make less and they’re about to get boned. You cannot increase employment by punishing employers. Democrats are pathologically incapable of understanding how the economy works. But then, if they understood, they wouldn’t be good Democrats.
