Sarah Palin’s Running For President Alaska

Sarah Palin’s campaign line of the week, “All diva all the time.”  while she scrubbed fish slime off the deck of a work boat.  Todd sat in the back suggesting that she needed a second brush.  ABC wants him on Dancing With The Stars.  Can’t wait.  Another opportunity to see the haters’ heads’ explode.  Rename the show Dancing With The Palins.

Country Dumb.  Yep.  That’s what they call it.  You betch’a.

I was a Draft Sarah Palin fan six months before McCain picked her.  And it happened.  When others said she was through when she resigned as governor, I said it was Sarah Unleashed.  And it happened.  I say salutations President Palin.  And it…

This phase of pop culture icon is a strategy…prepping the battlefield.  At some point she will have to become a serious candidate, but not too early.  She’s already a lightning rod.  Announcing too soon will cause all the other contenders to turn on her in earnest (like they aren’t already).  Everybody knows who she is.  She doesn’t have to start going door to door in New Hampshire a year in advance so ten people will know her name.  She can wait for the no names to tear each other up in a big dog fight of little dogs.  She can wait until they get so distracted with their opponents that they take their eyes off of her.  Then she can bark that she’s seen the field and none of them are worthy.

Hillary  started running ten years before her actual campaign and look what it got her.  Carrying Obama’s water.  Her rise was Destiny.  Until she forgot to pack the caucuses.  She beat Obama in the primaries.  He beat her in the caucuses.  The fact that everybody thinks Palin can’t win may be a good thing.

Nobody is ready to be president before they are president.  The question is can they grow into the position.  John Kennedy wasn’t ready.  He got bent over the Bay of Pigs.  He learned.  He stood up to Khrushchev in Cuba and avoided the Soviet takeover of the Caribbean.  Obama has proven that he can’t.  He is fundamentally lazy.  Doesn’t want to do the work.  Perfectly willing to lay back on his private 747 and let others do all the dirty work.  Not too smart.  The only thing he knows is Leftist Dogma and what the teleprompter tells him to say.  Obama will never be President.  Jimmy Carter II is the best he can hope for.

Palin has proven that she has boundless energy.  (I hate people like that)  She learns fast.  And she absolutely does it her own way.  Out of the box?  There is no box!  Unpredictable.  That is a huge advantage.  Obama is a product of the Chicago Machine.  Palin is a product of her own machine.

Hail to the Chieftess.

But it’s OK to kill them?

David Ignatius at the Washington Post posits that we might have skewed principles when we dare not ask a terrorist a question using harsh language, but are perfectly OK with sniping them from out of the blue with Hellfires.

Perfect opportunity to recall* a perfectly reasoned post on the subject I ran before about that torture thing.

* because that’s so much easier than writing new ones.
