(One more time with feeling) “It’s the spending, stupid!”

The comment is:

“Soak the rich” exhibits the finest attributes of human nature; namely class envy, hatred and warfare against anyone seen as “not one of us.”

The problem is not that the government does not steal enough money from people. The problem is that the government spends more money than it has. And there is not a single iota of evidence ever anywhere in the know universe that proves anything except that if the government raises taxes, it will simply spend even more money it doesn’t have.

Or to paraphrase ol’ Slick Willie Clinton, “It’s the spending, stupid.”
